Our instructors share tried-and-tested study strategies used by our top-performing students each year.
Consistency beats intensity. Dedicate 1–2 focused hours each day to your subject instead of cramming the night before exams. Set a specific time, eliminate distractions, and stick to your schedule for 4 weeks — it becomes automatic after that.
Don't just highlight — write your own summary of each topic in your own words. This forces active recall and cements the concept in long-term memory. Keep a dedicated notebook for each subject and review it weekly.
Notes are only half the story. Open the actual software — MS Excel, Tally, Photoshop, Python IDLE — and practice every concept you read about. Muscle memory in computer skills is built only through repetition on real tools.
Forming a small study group of 3–4 students dramatically improves retention. Teach a concept to a peer — if you can explain it clearly, you truly understand it. Group study also keeps motivation high.
Review each topic after 1 day, then 3 days, then 7 days, then 14 days. This spaced repetition technique is proven by science to move information from short-term to long-term memory efficiently, especially for exam preparation.
The most successful students ask the most questions. There are no silly questions — every concept that is unclear today becomes a gap in your knowledge tomorrow. Use your instructors' expertise while you have direct access to them.
